Just to show that I'm still around, at the moment I'm busy getting the allotment ready for the production of all those
goody's for preserving later on and learning what salads I can grow next winter. All this came about from some
lolla rossa Lettuce that I used to do a germination test last year in stead of throwing them on the compost heap I planted them on the allotment. Half I planted under cover and half in the open and then forgot about them for the most part
till last month when I hoed around them and gave them a little water now I've had the first bag of lettuce leaf's for this Year and they were
exceedingly good, so I intend to expand on my knowledge of what I can grow successfully through the winter. But that won't replace the dehydrating only add to my options it's addictive discovering about providing your own food.
